Ladera Oaks is a family-oriented swim, tennis and fitness club committed to providing exceptional facilities and high quality programs that delight our members. Whether enjoying a swim in one of our two pools, playing tennis day or night, or working out in our fitness center, there is something for everyone at Ladera Oaks.
Founded in 1958, Ladera Oaks is a private, member-owned club situated on four creekside acres in the beautiful Portola Valley foothills. We offer high quality recreation and competitive swim, tennis and fitness programs in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. It’s a place where children, adults and families can grow, make friends and enjoy healthy activities all year-round.
Our Services and Philosophy
Ladera Oaks offers lessons, clinics, classes, coaching, workouts and team opportunities at every level – As your skills improve, our programs become more competitive; and as members of the family mature, the club offers more options:
- Our regulation-size tennis courts are striped to provide smaller courts for younger junior participants who can experience success as they are learning
- Teens are welcomed in the fitness center
- Our Masters swim team members range from 23-79 years old; adults over age 18 are welcome to join the team
We believe that it is important for members to win on and off the courts, in and out of the water. Beyond teaching the fundamentals of the sport, our instructors, coaches and pros teach life skills. Children learn how to set goals, enjoy success and handle disappointment; how to participate as an individual and feel part of a team; and how to build interpersonal communication skills.
Our facilities have been recently remodeled and are designed to inspire members:
- The two full-sized and year-round heated pools are pristine. The lower pool is kept warmer for children and families; the upper pool temperature is set ideally for adult lap swimming and our competitive swim teams
- Our six tennis courts are lighted for evening matches and re-surfaced every three-to-four years
- Our fitness center overlooks tranquil creek views and offers a broad range of cardio and strength-training equipment
- We have a large studio space for classes such as yoga as well as workshops on injury prevention and nutrition
Ladera Oaks strives to offer our members the best swim, tennis and fitness programs. The professional staff is seasoned and skilled in their area of expertise – we know and care about our members and we try to give them the best experience in the safest environment.
